Designer Thom Browne Takes on Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum
By#legendAugust 8, 2016
Thom Browne is the 13th prominent designer, artist or architect to have been invited to mine and interpret the collection of the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York. Browne has put together an installation that explores ideas of reflection and individuality. It comprises more than 50 of the museum’s mirrors and frames, old and new. “I was drawn to their unparalleled craftsmanship in the same way that I appreciate the quality of superbly tailored clothing,” Browne says. Thom Browne Selects runs until October 23. cooperhewitt.org
