Wild Art: Isa Genzkens Work Showcases at Martin-Gropius-Bau
By#legendJune 23, 2016
Isa Genzken is one of the most remarkable and radical artists of our time. Throughout a wild life punctuated by bipolar disorder and substance abuse, Genzken has created a reputation for immense sculptural pieces, collages, oil paintings and experimental video that span several schools of work. In one of the more comprehensive shows of the artist’s work, at Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin until June 26, visitors can see early films, drawings and concrete sculptures that highlights issues such as modernity, the human body, urbanism and architecture. The exhibition is a richly autobiographical and satirical commentary on modern life.
