#legend turns 10: Cover stars – where are they now?

Time flies. A decade has passed since Hashtag Legend first hit the shelves in 2016. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary this year, we couldn’t help but wonder: what have our iconic cover stars been up to? Aimee Yan reports.

Amy Lo

Amy has officially broken the model-only mould. After winning the Metro Radio Music Awards for Best Female Newcomer (Gold) following her recent song release, she has successfully established herself as a credible singer-model. Her dual-threat career is definitely one to watch as she continues to release new music.

The performance was also recognised across major local awards, including the Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards, the Hong Kong Screenwriters’ Guild Awards and the Hong Kong Film Directors’ Guild Awards. Meanwhile, her role in Night King earlier this year had already drawn wide attention, further reinforcing her place as one of Hong Kong cinema’s leading forces.

Michelle Wai

The past two years have marked a defining stretch in Michelle Wai’s career. After taking home Best Actress at the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards in 2025 for her deeply affecting performance as Yuet in The Last Dance, she has continued that momentum with a Best Supporting Actress win for Ciao UFO at this year’s 44th edition. Together, these back-to-back accolades place her firmly at the height of her acting powers.

Could we be looking at the next Sue Chang? Only time will tell.

Tyson Yoshi
