My Bias, My Boss (August 3)
If workplace rom-coms are your comfort watch, My Bias, My Boss looks set to kick off August on a high note. Adapted from a popular webcomic, the series stars Kim Hye-jun as Nam Da-reum, a devoted K-pop fan who lands a job at a fashion startup in hopes of working alongside her longtime idol, played by Cha Woo-min. But her dream workplace quickly becomes more complicated when she finds herself butting heads with the company's cold yet unexpectedly charming CEO, portrayed by Kang Hoon. Expect a fun mix of office rivalry, romantic tension and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments.
Flex x Cop 2 (August 7)
One of 2024's biggest action-comedy hits is finally back. Premiering on Disney+, Flex x Cop 2 sees chaebol heir-turned-detective Jin I-soo (Ahn Bo-hyun) officially return to Violent Crimes Unit 1 after completing police academy training. This time, however, his flashy crime-solving style is put to the test when he's forced to work under his strict former drill instructor, Joo Hye-ra (Jung Eun-chae), now the team's new leader. As increasingly dangerous cases pile up, expect even bigger action, sharper humour and plenty of entertaining clashes between the unlikely partners.
Our Sticky Love (August 7)
Jung Hae-in returns to romance in Our Sticky Love, a Netflix original that blends the charm of a rom-com with an intriguing crime mystery.
