New Restaurant Opens in Original Noma Space

Chef Thorsten Schmidt, aka The Nordic Alchemist, pushes culinary boundaries. His newest venture? A casual spot called Barr, located on the hallowed grounds that once housed Noma in Copenhagen. Schmidt says he drew inspiration for the menu from the traditions of the North Sea. His new establishment, which opened its doors yesterday, will celebrate the cooking, brewing and hospitality of the chilliest parts of Europe. Expect modernised versions of homely, warming dishes such as Danish meatballs.
