Fine and Rare Ornellaia Vintages to be Auctioned at Sotheby’s Hong Kong

Ornellaia vintages are some of the hardest wines to get hold of. Made with grapes grown on the Bolgheri estate, demand for this exceptional Super Tuscan far outweighs supply, meaning stocks of these wines are usually low, if not non-existent. Sotheby’s Hong Kong’s spring sale series opens with the Asian launch of Ornellaia Archivio Storico, allowing a lucky few to get their hands on some of the greatest and rarest wines crafted in the last century. Dating back to 1994, the vintage wines on sale include large bottles from Ornellaia’s wine library. Many, according to Giovanni Geddes da Filicaja, the chief executive of Ornellaia, are the last bottles that will ever be released. sothebys.com
