By#legendJanuary 26, 2016
Musician, composer, producer and two-time Grammy winner Dana Leong has big plans this year. The Asian-American musician of Chinese and Japanese descent wants to reconnect with China, after playing at the World Economic Forum in Dalian last year.
“I’m coming more often to explore my cultural heritage as well as collaborating with traditional and popular Chinese musicians in order to create a new sound,” says Leong, who hopes to merge the music he’s studied in the West with the sounds of China, and “help China amplify their culture beyond its borders”. Regarded as the world’s leading electronic cellist, Leong’s China-bound sound promises a “new musical way”.
