Building on a girl-group roster that already includes NewJeans and ILLIT, Hybe is getting ready to unveil its latest act through ABD, its newest sub-label and an acronym for “A Bold Dream”. On August 3, ABD officially introduced all seven members of TUIDE, the label’s first group. Ahead of their late-August debut with the ep "Tune & Play," here is everything we know so far, from their international lineup to their playful visual identity

What does the name TUIDE stand for?

TUIDE takes its name from the phrase “Tune the Tide”, capturing the idea of bringing different currents into harmony through music. It reflects how the seven members plan to blend their distinct personalities, experiences and cultural influences into one shared sound without losing what makes each of them unique. With members connected to Korea, Japan, the US and the UK, that meeting of different backgrounds is set to become a defining part of TUIDE’s identity.

TUIDE comprises Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah and Yi Hani, who were born between 2006 and 2011. Elena is Korean-American, Saki is Japanese and Yi Hani is Korean-British, while the remaining members are Korean. The multinational lineup gives TUIDE a global outlook from day one and hints at ambitions beyond Korea. Seoyeon has attracted particular attention as a former child actress and the younger sister of TWICE leader Jihyo, though official positions and fuller profiles remain under wraps.

Seven personalities, one playful visual world

Leaning into K-pop’s continuing love of Y2K style, TUIDE’s first images introduce a bright and youthful visual world. Sports jerseys, tracksuits, oversized denim, graphic tops, ribbons and layered jewellery allow each member’s personality to shine while still creating a cohesive group look. Rather than appearing overly polished or grown-up, the styling feels well matched to their natural youthful energy, giving TUIDE an approachable, girl-next-door charm that already makes their debut concept feel inviting.

TUIDE will officially debut on August 24 with their first mini album, "Tune & Play," although its sound remains one of the biggest mysteries surrounding the group. The title pairs “tune”, representing different voices finding harmony, with the freedom, curiosity and fun of “play”. Executive producer Han Sung-soo, known for shaping After School, Seventeen, IZ*ONE and TWS, is guiding their creative direction. The group also teased its music and performances during the two-day preview, titled "Playground" in Seoul on August 1 and 2.
